Brand & Marketing Update

Jun 2, 2025

The Brand & Marketing team has been keeping busy preparing for a strong summer season. Here’s a look at a few highlights from the past month and a preview of what’s coming soon.

Social Media Growth & Engagement
Since January, our social media audience has grown from 11,000 to over 13,000 followers. We’re maintaining a near-daily posting cadence and reaching more than 1 million views per month across platforms. This continued growth reflects sustained public interest in our content and brand.

Coming Soon: AMU Education Series
We’re launching a new educational video series on antimicrobial use (AMU) in chicken farming. The content is designed to help Canadians understand key facts, such as:

  • The difference between antibiotic resistance and residues
  • Use of Health Canada-approved antibiotics
  • The categories of antibiotics and when they’re used
  • The fact that ~60% of antibiotics used in chicken production are not used in human medicine
  • Our sector’s ban on preventive use of Category I and II antibiotics
  • Safe food handling tips: Clean, Chill, Separate, Cook

This series will begin rolling out across our channels in the coming weeks.

New Content with Canadian Athletes
We’re also collaborating with Canadian swimmers for a new content series. Filmed during a farm visit in Edmonton, the videos highlight what surprised them most about chicken farming, mixed with lighter poolside content and their favourite ways to eat chicken. Once live, we’d appreciate your support in amplifying these videos by sharing them on your own channels.

Looking Ahead: Protein Campaign
At the end of June, we’ll launch a new national campaign promoting chicken as the smart, high-protein snack alternative to bars and shakes. It’s a digital-first effort featuring influencers showcasing easy, everyday ways to enjoy chicken throughout the day.

We look forward to sharing more results next month.
